Travel Ball

TRAVEL BALL, a motion picture currently in development, reveals a grippingly raw and personal look at the millennium generation’s teen athletes, the parents who push them and the coaches and system that profit from it all. The original screenplay by Bruce Caulk is a character-driven drama, a fish out of water story stemming from the betrayal of a best friend and projected first-round draft pick. The story also explores the father-daughter dynamic set within the backdrop of 18U boys’ travel baseball, 18U girls’ club soccer and AAU basketball.

A 2017 TIME Magazine cover story profiles the rapidly-growing phenomena of club and travel sports in America and raises the question, whose dream is it anyway?

“The U.S. youth-sports economy– which leads everything from travel to private coaching to apps that organize leagues and livestream games — is now a $15.3 billion market according to WinterGreen Research, a private firm that tracks the industry.”

TRAVEL BALL is planning on a Summer 2021 theatrical release. A social media campaign is underway to educate and entertain a wide domestic audience of both student-athletes and their parents.
